With the (reported) poor fiscal condition of PAT, the intransigent nature of prior negotiations and the threat of inflation, I don’t see this being resolved without a strike.
Am I the only one betting less than 50% chance of a strike?
Market is to predict whether there will be a strike resulting from current labor negotiations ongoing at Port Authority of Allegheny County. Auction will end when either a new contract is signed without there being a systemwide work stoppage of any kind or if a strike is called and lasts for a minimum of 24 hours. Other labor stoppages related to current negotiations such as lockouts will be considered strikes for the purpose of this market. No matter the status, market will close on Dec 31, 2009 and the status of labor negotiations on that day will be considered final. Any other disputes will be decided by the author.
