Please note: The market will close, as planned, on midnight (PST) on Friday, August 17. But the market will not pay out until Tuesday, August 21, as I want to wait a few days to ensure that any plea deal reached on or by Friday will be reported in the media.

Media are reporting today, Monday, that Vick accepted a deal as of Friday. Good call on waiting a few days to close out the market, clearly the market gave up on Vick’s plea too soon.

I heard a similar report… my understanding, however, is that Vick (and/or his lawyers) indicated that they would likely accept a guilty plea on Friday, but no official agreement was actually made until Monday, August 20. My understanding is that negotiations were still occurring over the weekend, and that the plea was not signed, sealed or delivered until yesterday.

Of course, if anyone can present evidence to the contrary, please do not hesitate to do so.
