How is it determined that the civilians were targeted? Who’s word are we taking? US government’s? Afghani gov’t? Yours?
If such event happens, I doubt the military would come out and say “We targeted civilians X number of times…”
I edited the description, should be reported by a reputable news source, which would probably be identified by the Afghan government. I guess ultimately it would be my definition but it has to be in Kabul and identified as targeting citizens (The Afghan government identified the attack days ago as the first on civilians since 2001 in Kabul).
I don’t understand your comment about the military…
I’ll also remark when they occur here in the comments.
In light of the first attack on civilians in Kabul, Afghanistan, how many more attacks do you expect there to be on civilians within Kabul this year? As background, all previous attacks within the city have been directed at police and military, this is the first recorded attack directed against civilians. This needs to be reported by a reputable news source, BBC, CNN, AP, etc, and identified as a Taliban attack.
