I’m refunding everyon’s money since none of the answers were quite correct. It’s been announced that the attacks will start in Washington D.C., move down the east coast, and end up in Orlando. I would have accepted two answers (D.C. and Some Other Place in the U.S) but the system wouldn’t let me change it from “one correct answer” to “multiple correct answers”. Sorry for the confusion, thanks for playing.

For never having met, you know me well. And, as to the “All”, just stirring the pot. MFWINALFORD are you listening?

wstritt   •   Tue Oct 21 2014 at 12:15pm PDT

Well, technically, wouldn’t the “next” city be Washington D.C.? Orlando (and other cities along the way) would be after DC so not next. :-)

chelseaboys   •   Tue Oct 21 2014 at 12:25pm PDT

While we’ll ALL be happy if the present administration is gobbled up whole, I think the market assumed that there would be just one city attacked, like Sharknado 1 and 2.

And, we won’t really know more than the press releases say until the actual movie hits the air in ’15.

Short DC, were we CB?

As one of the real traders here used to say, “Talking your book?” Of course I was doing same – I was short Chicago and Houston so was looking at a quick 4000. Oh well.

By the way, I’m thinking at least one Inklinger would disagree with your “ALL” assessment. Can I get some likes here?

A new round of rumors have shown up saying that it’s Washington DC but there’s still no confirmation from the SyFy channel.

lecufr   •   Sat Sep 13 2014 at 06:49am PDT

Strong rumors are swirling that the deadly flying sharks will indeed take aim on Washington DC. Right now a bunch of little news and gossip sites are mainly quoting each other but I guess AV Club is a fairly reputable source:

When a definitive announcement comes from the SyFy channel I’ll cash the market out.

After the Phoenix floods from the remnants of Norbert, I’m thinking a Sharknado could probably make it pretty far inland. Phoenix, Las Vegas….why not?

lecufr   •   Thu Sep 11 2014 at 06:50pm PDT

With the possible exception of Washington DC, I tried to stick with places that are relatively close to large, natural bodies of water that sharks could conceivably navigate. Phoenix and Las Vegas are not.

In the case of DC, I imagine they’d vamp up something involving the Potomac River, with the sharks somehow managing to come in from the Atlantic. (Yeah, I’m over-thinking this…)

If Phoenix or LV turns out to be the winner, “Some other place in the US” will pay off.

lecufr   •   Sat Sep 13 2014 at 06:52am PDT

Heh, it might actually turn out be Washington DC. Guess maybe I didn’t over-think it…

bobdevine   •   Thu Sep 11 2014 at 06:38pm PDT

With the casinos closing in Atlantic City, it seems like a perfect set up.

Sharknado 3: Shark vs Trump
Tagline: “One is a blood-thirsty creature. The other is a fish…”

lecufr   •   Thu Sep 11 2014 at 06:52pm PDT

Um, how about “…blood-thirsty, bottom-feeding creature…”?

bobdevine   •   Sat Aug 16 2014 at 10:44pm PDT

Would sharks attack in Wash DC? Professional courtesy, ya know….
