Per Box Office Mojo, the estimated domestic total for May 22 – 24 is $32,972,000. The winning answer for this market is $30M – $39.9M. If the actual total ends up being outside of this range, I will re-cash out the market accordingly.

Just to clarify, although this is a four-day holiday weekend in the U.S., this market will be judged on the three-day totals. If Box Office Mojo repeats what they did last year, they will report both three-day and four-day grosses.

My numbers say $37.4mil to $43.4mil for the three day weekend. It’s going to be right on the line.

That’s sad considering that it cost $190M and stars George Clooney. Guess Disney can afford to take the hit.

What’s sadder is that it is one of the few original, non sequel, non reboot films slated for release this summer. If it doesn’t earn a profit we are in for more Spiderman meets Vin Diesel reboots.
