We are complacent because all of our recent quakes, in the US, have caused little damage or no serious injuries. We are overdue for a serious quake effecting major markets. Hopefully, we will continue to remain overdue for many years to come.

There was a 6.7 quake in Alaska on May 29th. If you are going by the Wikipedia definition of Continental United States there are a bunch of stocks that can be cashed out.

Thanks for the heads up. Continental as referring to the lower 48 – which seems to be the decisive definition with the exception of wikipedia. For further convincing check out the U.S. Code. http://freedom-school.com/code-defines-united-states.pdf As always I appreciate the feedback!

What is start date for judging this market? I’m assuming May 27th launch date since there was already a 5.7 quake in California in January.

Yes- May 27th, the time the question was published.

Click on possible answers in the right column to hide/show them on the graph. You can also hover over any line to see current value at that time. Graphs will begin to show data one hour after the question has been open. The Historical Trend chart does not display all prices ever reached since it is only updated at discrete time intervals, (hourly/daily/weekly, depending on the date range).
