The Undefeated is a website, run by ESPN, that is focused on race and sports. The websites founder, and past CEO, Jason Whitlock, was ousted as CEO in June. A permanent replacement has yet to be named and speculation within the company is that the website will be incorporated into ESPN as a whole. A company memo sent out in June explains talking points for employees asked about the website, with asnwers such as " taking time to get it right from the start." (NYT) Whether time is being taken to get it right, or because there isn't enough support for the project as a separate entity, remains to be seen.
For the purpose of this question "shut down" refers to the website being either completely shut down on a permament basis, or incorporated into ESPN. For this market to cash out as "no" the website must either have a permanent editor or an interim one who is updating the site on a regular basis. (status quo)
