Hall of Fame game has been cancelled. Looks like NFL is winner.

Do we really think pre-season games count for this?

chelseaboys   •   Mon Jul 25 2011 at 08:33am PDT

They shouldnt have; but the way the background info reads, they have to.

Tom501   •   Wed Jul 27 2011 at 07:38am PDT

I agree, the Hall of Fame Game may only be an exhibition game but it is still a revenue producing event just like any other game. The cancellation of the game due to the lockout satisfies the background information.

wstritt   •   Mon Jul 25 2011 at 06:14pm PDT

That is my take as well based on background. Hall of Fame Game seals the deal for NFL.

chelseaboys   •   Mon Jul 25 2011 at 06:46am PDT

You can tell Admin this time!!!

wstritt   •   Fri May 20 2011 at 04:49pm PDT

Why has this market cashed out? I know there is a lockout but unless I missed an announcement (which is quite possible) at least as of yesterday, no games had been cancelled or delayed which was the criteria for cash out: “The disagreement must result in cancellation or delay of at least one game.”

My Bad. I sent a note to the Maker, he never responded, so I sent a note to Admin and they paid it out. I never read the background info, which, of courses, is completely inconsistent with the Question itself as we see the effect of the current lockout in place in the NFL.

But, I agree that the question, as described, should be reopened.

But, we must also face the possibility that this question will never reach a conclusion. Even by the 2020 deadline the Maker set.

onedave   •   Fri May 20 2011 at 08:49pm PDT

The question should not have cashed out. I have not heard an announcement that any games have been canceled.
